This teapot is made very nicely. It features a simple straight spout, comfortable handle, and lid knob, and offers a well-executed rounded shape. The color is a rich chocolatey brown with red flecks and numerous light tan specks. It is crafted from Hei Jin Gang clay, which is a blend of Zi Ni and Bao Lan Zhu Ni clays, with a bit of sand mixed in. The clay has a soft luster and the surface is textured yet still smooth. Although this teapot is small in size, it has a 2″ opening and inner diameter wide enough to accommodate strip style oolongs or Pu-erh.
This teapot comes wrapped in a protective silk-fabric pouch with a drawstring closure and packaged in a presentation box. The pouch is perfect for storing the pot between uses to ward off scratches and dust. All photos are of the actual pot that is for sale (we only have one, so act quickly!).
