Known in Japan as a chasaku, these elegant bamboo scoops are for lifting matcha (powdered green tea) from its container into your tea bowl (chawan). The uniform size of the bamboo used and its bend helps to control the amount of matcha that is dispensed into your chawan.
The scoops do not get wet, so all they need for cleanup is a simple wipe.
