Highland-grown Ethiopian From the region of Ethiopia that once sheltered the summer home of Hailee Selassie, this coffee grows under the watchful eyes of the locals who have been tending the coffee trees here for decades. One of the first of the ‘famous’ premium coffees to be discovered, this is still one of our best sellers. Recently granted origin status, this means that all coffee sold as Yrgacheffe must be grown in a certain place, as with Champagne, Roquefort, Vidalia onions, and Darjeeling tea. This is fantastic, as this, the real McCoy, is special and needs to be protected. If you like your coffee with a bold, focused, and pure flavor, then try this Ethiopian. Many of the earliest growths of coffee are from this region and this coffee shows why. The flavor is pure, the style is complex, and the over-all effect is one of being: WOW what coffee is this? Roasted to a classic ‘Vienna Roast’
