Glazed in a cheery yellow hue with a lovely satin finish, this large-capacity teapot is both versatile and easy to use. Since the interior is glazed, you can use it to steep every type of tea. Instead of a built-in clay strainer, this pot comes with an easy to clean, removable stainless steel mesh strainer. It also has a very wide opening and generous 21 oz. capacity, making it a great choice for steeping large-leaf China green teas or bulky, voluminous white teas, for more than one person. It is also heat-resistant ceramic, and is suitable for use over a low open flame.
This teapot has a slight slant downward from spout to handle, giving it a uniquely off-kilter profile. The spout’s high placement and angle help to prevent dripping. A well proportioned handle makes this teapot easy to hold and a wide base makes the pot nearly impossible to tip over.
