This Zi Ni teapot is lovely in all respects. It would be a worthy addition to any Yixing teapot collection. The simple form of this teapot is pleasant to look at. It is generous in size but maintains a nice curvy shape and a big belly that is perfect for oolongs of all types. The surface is smooth and the clay has a lovely soft luster. Delicate calligraphy graces the front and back of the teapot – a drawing of a few peony blossoms adds to the charm and happy feeling of this teapot. The bottom of the teapot features additional writing along with the seal of the artist – the writing says: ‘Made by Chen Liang in the spring of 2014’.
