A beautiful sword-shape tea from Zhejiang. Not to be confused with Longjing ( Dragonwell) from Zhejiang Province, Long Ding is an early season pluck of just the emerging bud. Soft, sweet and aromatic, the buds of Long Ding will stand up straight in the water as it steeps. One of the most memorable teas from our early tea sourcing trips to China, Long Ding is consistently one of eastern China's most exquisite and distinctive teas. Use a glass teapot or a glass tea mug to appreciate the full effect.
Steep 2-3 infusions at 2 minutes each.
Water temperature should be 170° - 180° F |
