The continent of
Africa is a location in which tea
flourishes. As European tea companies began to
look beyond Asia for the appropriate terroir
for tea plantings, East Africa in particular was
determined to have ideal weather conditions for
encouraging lush plant growth and long growing
season for tea manufacture.
Today, over
50 countries in the world produce tea in varying
quantities and for different tea drinking
markets. Indonesia, Mainland Southeast Asia,
South America and Turkey are some of the largest
of these producers. These growths are not
currently represented in Tea Trekker offerings. |
